UC Santa Cruz Astronomy Graduate Students Receive NSF Graduate Research Fellowships Astronomy and astrophysics graduate students Javiera Guedes and Kevin Schlaufman have been awarded National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowships (GRF). These three-year fellowships will support Javiera's work in theoretical cosmology and Kevin's research in star formation and astrostatistics. The GRF includes a $30,000 annual stipend, plus funding for education and international travel. The GRF Program invests in graduate education for a cadre of diverse individuals who demonstrate their potential to successfully complete graduate degree programs in disciplines relevant to the mission of the National Science Foundation. |
